Higher Quality Viewing

In order to use the Higher Quality Viewer, you must have Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher with Direct X 9.0 or higher installed on your machine.  Get Direct X free from here:

Direct X from Microsoft.

The first time you log onto the Higher Quality Viewing, you will be asked to install a file called Live.cab.  This is an Active X control that decodes the video for you to view, and Online Doggy states that this is safe to install and will not cause a damage to your machine.

The default settings for Internet Explorer will not allow you to install this software.  Find below the steps to change the settings for to allow installation.  Please consult your network administrator before making any of these changes.  This is the only time you will have to do these steps, and after a successful install of Live.cab, you can change the following settings back to their defaults.

First, from Internet Explorer please select the Tools pull down menu, then select Internet Options:

Then from the Security tab, select Custom Level:

Under the ActiveX controls and plug-ins heading, switch any Active X options that are set to Disable to Prompt

You will now be allowed to install Live.cab and view the videos.  When you log onto the page the first time, wait for the security warning to appear (usually a few seconds), install Live.cab, press Start Viewing and enjoy.

If these procedures do not work, and you get a Cannot Connect to Server error, it is possible that your network administrator has blocked your network from any Active X operations.  If this is the case, please use our Regular Quality Viewer.
