The Cornelius Town Board has unanimously approved construction of a new animal shelter. This decision caps years of searching for a site and planning for a full service shelter. The current operation, while informal and ramshackle, operates successfully due to the efforts of an amazing band of volunteers and a Police Department committed to saving stray and surrendered animals. We need help from you to make this vision a reality. The new Shelter will cost close to $500,000 and we are $200,000 short because Huntersville pulled out. Cornelius will implement pet licensing, mandatory low cost micro-chipping and promote spay/neuter with help for under privileged families
So please help us build the Shelter. You can donate via Paypal with a credit card by clicking the Donate button below or you can also mail a check to the Cornelius Town Hall, Attn: Finance Department, 21445 Catawba Avenue, Cornelius, NC 28031. Please write on the check that the contribution is for the Shelter construction fund. All donations are tax deductable
Thank you so much,
Jim Bensman
